Buying your first property may seem like a complex and difficult process until you meet the right experts. The property market in a city like Sydney was expected to bear the brunt of the pandemic. In contrast, it triggered a rise in the number of property buyers and investors. All said and done, the real estate market was cruising. However, buying a property is just like grabbing the right opportunity. This is what Sayan learned from his first property buying experience. 

Sayan Kaiser is a cloud engineer who called Sydney, Australia his home. He lived in a rented apartment with his brother and wife in the Olympic Park area until coronavirus turned his world upside down. During the initial stages of the coronavirus pandemic in December-January 2019, everyone thought that the situation would normalise by the end of January or February. But when the governments initiated lockdowns in their states, it created havoc and panic. Most people like Sayan felt uncertain about their jobs, and their fear of losing jobs could be seen everywhere. People knew that losing their jobs meant financial instability, and they might end up losing their rented apartments and everything with it.

Luckily, Sayan had work to do with stable outcomes. His work from home job spared him some time to think of his future and family. And that’s when he realised that he needed a place to call his own. It’s not like Sayan had never thought of buying a home before. His friends always advised him to apply for a home loan and buy a place instead of paying high rents and paying somebody else’s mortgage. But there were some people who misled and discouraged him. 

This time Sayan was determined to buy a unit to move in. He started looking for apartments and houses. He also took part in an auction where he missed a good property for a few thousand bucks. Soon he came to know of a land builder’s apartments being sold in Schofield Gardens. His brother convinced Sayan to drive there and see what these apartments were like. One day on Saturday, both Kaiser brothers drove to Schofield Gardens. Sayan was astonished when he looked at those apartments at first sight. After looking at some more apartments, he realised that he was so wrong about this suburb.

People always think that suburbs are like underdeveloped areas outside the city. They also assume that these suburbs lack the facilities of metropolitan cities. Sayan managed to distinguish himself from such people and was impressed with the apartments. After spending three hours in site viewing, Sayan finally found a place with a perfect view and at an ideal location. So he went to A Land Builder’s office nearby and inquired. The registrar advised him to pay a deposit of AUD 1000 to book this place, but Sayan denied it and said that he needed some time to think and came back home.

After two days on Monday, Sayan and his brother drove back to Schofield Gardens to look for the same apartment but found out that another person had already booked it. Sayen and his brother felt disappointed, and that’s when a good thing happened to them, they met with Saket. Sayan told Saket about his loss, and Saket asked them to meet him at Quarter Acre’s Office nearby. Sayan was impressed by Saket just after their first meeting. Saket then had a few more conversations with Sayan and noted his requirements and financial status. After a few days, Saket found another ideal place for Sayan. He was (again) amazed by Saket and the apartment he found for them. Sayan made the initial down payment and bought the apartment. Saket also helped Sayan to get approval for government concessions for first buyers.
